REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ARTICLES
The high quality of scientific publications is ensured by a thorough expert evaluation of materials submitted to the journal. Each article undergoes a scientific review procedure, which is carried out by specialists in the field of international law with significant academic and practical experience. Researchers, scholars from leading universities, as well as practicing lawyers and experts working in the field of international relations, diplomacy, international organizations and law enforcement are involved in the review process.
The expert evaluation is aimed at verifying the scientific novelty of the research, the validity of the conclusions, the correctness of the use of sources and the compliance of the article with modern standards of academic integrity. Special attention is paid to the relevance of the topic, the methodological quality of the research and the practical significance of the results for the development of international law.
The editorial board of the journal adheres to the principles of independence, objectivity and confidentiality during the review. The evaluation process is organized to ensure impartial consideration of manuscripts and to contribute to the improvement of their scientific quality. Based on the results of the review, authors receive detailed recommendations for improving their research, which contributes to the development of academic dialogue and the improvement of the level of scientific publications.
Due to this approach, the journal supports high standards of scientific communication and acts as a reliable platform for publishing research results in the field of international law.
Requirements for the text of scientific articles:
• articles are formatted in the Microsoft WORD;
• article size – 6-12 pages (longer articles are accepted in accordance with the decision of the editorial board), 14 pt., 1.5 int., Times New Roman text;
• in the upper right corner of the title page - the name and surname of the author (co-authors), academic degree, academic title, honorary title, ORCID, position and place of work of the author;
• below – UDC of the article;
• below - the title of the publication, aligned to the center of the page and highlighted in bold;
• references to the sources used are made using footnotes at the bottom of the page, separated from the main text by a horizontal line; numbering should be continuous throughout the publication in Arabic numerals. The names of the sources in alphabetical order are also given at the end of the article (section - "List of sources used");
• the article must be accompanied by annotations (2-4 sentences) and keywords (4-8 words) in Ukrainian and English. Annotations are placed after the title of the article;
• In articles in Ukrainian, after the main text and the list of sources, a brief Summary of the article in English (not less than 500 words) is given. A Summary is a clear and balanced statement of the main ideas and concepts that the author considers in the article, as well as the conclusions that the author reaches.
Requirements for submitting materials to the editorial office:
1. Articles and materials are submitted exclusively in electronic form in one email to the address of the editorial office of the Ukrainian Journal of International Law This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ; The following materials are sent to the editorial office:

• brief information about the author (co-authors) indicating - full name, academic degree, academic title, honorary title, ORCID, place of work (full name and address) and position, contact phone number (mobile, work), email and postal address to which a copy of the journal should be sent.
2. File names must contain the author's surname (for example: Brown_stattja. docx; Brown_dovidka. docx).
3. Materials are accepted by the editorial office on an ongoing basis (all year round). The decision on publication is made on the basis of expert review.
Publication of articles and materials is free of charge.
The editorial board has the right to review, edit, shorten and reject articles. In case of non-compliance with the specified requirements for the design of manuscripts, the editorial board reserves the right not to consider them.
Publication ethics and expert assessment
Materials submitted for publication must not contain inaccuracies, fraudulent information, plagiarism and lack of references to primary sources when citing. Incorrectly formatted references are grounds for refusal of publication. Unethical behavior will be considered the provision of materials for publication that were previously published in other sources or their publication later, including with a change in the title of the article.
The decision on publication is made by the editorial board on an impartial basis, taking into account the relevance of the materials.
After the editorial board receives the article, its text is checked for plagiarism and the use of artificial intelligence using the Plag and JustDone platforms. After the conclusion that there is no plagiarism and the use of artificial intelligence, the article or scientific material is sent to two independent reviewers - specialists in the subject of the article or material for anonymous review.
A prerequisite for the publication of materials is their peer review.
